The short answer
PerkDock helps readers narrow a software shortlist with clear product information and practical buying questions. Our current guides are desk research and editorial analysis of public vendor materials. They are not presented as hands-on benchmark results. We separate what a product publishes from the conclusions we draw about who should consider it, and we link to the original sources so readers can check the details.
Start with the job to be done
A useful comparison names the person, task and output. A meeting assistant, a document detector and a video editor can all contain AI, but they solve different problems. We organize tools around those jobs so readers can compare relevant options rather than an arbitrary list of popular names.
Our recommendations are conditional. A tool may suit an independent creator while being a poor fit for an organization with different permissions, integration or procurement requirements. We explain the conditions behind a recommendation instead of declaring a winner for everyone.
Use primary sources and label uncertainty
We use official product pages, pricing pages and support documentation for factual descriptions. Each guide includes sources and a checked date. Features, plan limits and billing terms can change, so the vendor’s current checkout and contract remain the authority at purchase time.
When a price is not reliably visible, we direct readers to the live pricing page rather than fill the gap with a guess. We do not invent customers, user reviews, discounts, accuracy percentages or test scores. Vendor marketing claims are not treated as independent proof.
Compare the working solution
A feature is useful only when it supports the workflow you need. Our buying advice asks readers to evaluate the full path: input, processing, review, sharing and maintenance. It also considers costs that can sit outside the headline subscription, such as seats, usage and connected services.
For a meaningful trial, we recommend representative, permissioned examples and explicit success criteria. The evaluation should include ordinary exceptions, not only the perfect demo. Readers should be able to explain why a chosen product fits their work.
Explain how the site earns money
Some outbound links may be affiliate links. If a reader makes a qualifying purchase through one, PerkDock may earn a commission. We identify that relationship and do not present a referral link as an exclusive discount unless a specific offer has been verified.
An affiliate relationship does not remove the need to discuss tradeoffs. Our role is to make the choice clearer. As the site develops, any original testing will be labeled with its method, samples and limits so it can be distinguished from the research-based guides available today.
